Hexcel HexPly M21, IMA-12K

This aviation certified CFRP material is used in the primary structural components of the Airbus A350 XWB. This fiber composite material is to be used as a trial material in the "Tool Investigation 2019/2020".

The prepreg sheet consists of unidirectionally laid IMA-12K carbon fibers embedded in a Hexply M21E base epoxy resin matrix. The plate thickness to be processed should consist of 16 layers and 4 mm thickness as well as quasi-isotropic arrangement of the nomenclature [0/90/(±45)]2s.
